PHILLY, MOTORCYCLES AND A BIRTHDAY.

This last weekend I got a trip to Philly to learn how to ride a Motorcycle courtesy of Harley Davidson! After I painted the Harley tank for the benefit show at Robert Berman Gallery last month, the Harley people asked if I would be interested in learning how to ride and so of course I said yes!

So my friend Billie and I started off the trip out of Penn Station on Amtrak down to Philly. Our friend Adam Wallacavage picked us up and we went over to his house for a bit. He has the coolest house I've ever seen!

He has a great collection of art and taxidermy...

This reminds me of Frazzetta meets Caravaggio

Cutey bear.

A new Camille Rose Garcia plush toy is about to take down Humpty!

Billie and Adam with stuff.

Best kitchen ever!

Wallah!! Or Wallacavage! Adam builds all these Chandeliers and made all the moldings for his house. Pretty snazzy!

Mr. Snowman says bye-bye!

Then we were off to have my first birthday drink at... Well where else... Ray's Happy Birthday Bar! And then off to a good night sleep.

In the morning we went to Barb's Harley Davidson in South Jersey for our lessons! It was scary at first but we took baby steps with the lessons, and before you knew it we were riding around, swerving cones, and downshifting for sudden stops. Sooo fun!!

Billie and I learned in the rain that day, but I figure, if you can ride in the rain, you can do anything! The bikes were 450 lbs of awesomeness.

That night we went to a gallery show that Adam helped curate at a place called Kung-Fu Necktie and saw some really great artwork. I don't know these artists names though... but it's awesome stuff.

Funny art!

This was a mini model the artist built. It was maybe 7 inches tall. Super mini-model style!

Amazing skill! And I took the photos with a Macro setting so it looks kinda realistic.

Then were were back to the course the next day to hone our skills! Awesome times indeed. I bought a helmet and am ready for my next ride! Brmmmm brrrrmmmm!!!!
